Writer.

Yinzer.

Operator.

Marketer.

Hi, I’m Jen.

If there’s one thing I’ve always known about myself, it’s that I love words and ideas. It was clear to me that I would make a living as a writer—someway, somehow. And guess what? I have.

Along the way, I learned a lot about myself that I never would have imagined: I’m wildly analytical and have a fierce love of spreadsheets and data. I can apply systems to creativity in a way that makes lightbulbs go off. I’m a natural leader and have spearheaded teams with and without the title to back me up.

I’d love for you to read my resume, of course—but keep scrolling to learn about the person behind it.

Born in Pittsburgh, stationed in the South

I grew up in Pittsburgh, enjoyed a brief stint in Berlin, Germany, and then made my way to Greenville, South Carolina.

I’ve been here since 2017 and have loved every minute of it—but, I’m always up to try new cities.

Obsessed with the
bar(bell)

I was never an athlete until I graduated college, and I taught myself how to lift weights. I’ve been absolutely hooked ever since.

I found some really crazy parallels to gym performance and running a business. Ask me! I’ve love to go down this rabbit hole.

Food helps me tell
the best stories

I love to travel, but I’ll be honest: I’m in it for the food. There’s no better way to experience life and culture than through local cuisine.

I’ve taken a picture of my husband in every restaurant we’ve eaten at together, and it turned into an Instagram thing.

You should know:

I believe everyone should have fun when they’re at work.

I’m fiercely dedicated to my people and their success.

If I make myself laugh when I write, I consider myself lucky.

If I’m doubly lucky, the person reading what I wrote laughs, too.

Triply lucky, I get to watch them while they’re doing it.

I think “triply” is a good word.

I do things in excess: use em-dashes, swear, work, buy shoes, adopt cats.

I have a system for everything. And a spreadsheet, too. Ask me how I analyzed my jean collection.

I’m an INTJ and have learned the power that comes from introverted intuition.

I’m the highest C of all the C’s on the DISC chart, but I’m not timid and I don’t wait to get shit done.

I’m an Enneagram 1, and the highest standards I set are the ones I have for myself.

If you put me in a box, I’ll break out of it.

I can switch back and forth between creative and technical so fast you’ll get whiplash.

Too much creative makes me crazy. Too much digital makes me boring.

I’ll take creative all day, any day.
