I got my start in advertising via digital marketing. I applied for an SEO job without having a clue about what SEO was, and someone actually hired me. Thank God, because it’s the reason I am where I am today.

Thing is, when you get hired for a job you know nothing about, you have to really quickly learn before the end of your two weeks is up at your current place of employment. Lucky for me, I can teach myself anything. Since that early panic attack, I’ve developed quite an arsenal of digital skills that I think make me particularly dangerous.

SOCIAL MEDIA

I’m that person that follows you around the internet with ads. I’m the one who knows the things you want before you do. On the paid side, my social media management skills go beyond just setting up ads and running them—I’m well-versed in the art of pixeling, tracking, and custom audience building. I love organic content creation and community management, too.

Proficiencies:

  • social campaign management

  • content calendar development

  • community management

  • Sprout Social

ANALYTICS + CONFIGURATION

In my opinion, being 'good' with Google Analytics goes beyond being able to open up your browser and click through stats. You have to understand how the data gets there in the first place, and what all those little bits of Javascript in your tracking code do. You have to understand your filters, know what a RegEx is, and know what causes a referrer to pass or not. And if you don’t? Well, those stats you’re clicking through aren’t doing you much good.

Proficiencies:

  • Google Analytics

  • Google Tag Manager

  • campaign tracking

  • eCommerce tracking

SEARCH ENGINE OPTIMIZATION

None of your campaigns really matter if your website isn’t a well-oiled machine. And it probably won’t rank in search engines, either. I can evaluate code structure, navigation architecture, on-page content, site speed, search console setup, and more. I’ve also used a bunch of SEO tools that help me gather data and understand what’s really going on under the hood.

Proficiencies:

  • Screaming Frog

  • Moz

  • SEMrush

  • Google Search Console

THE REST

I’ve gotten pretty darn good at Wordpress over the years, and while I’m not a developer, if there’s a problem with a Wordpress site, I’m typically the first call in the office.

I’ve run a few Google Ads campaigns in my life, and I know enough to be dangerous.

I can tell you a good bit about email marketing, too.

In short: if it has to do with inbound marketing, I can help.
